01

Alarm reception and signalling

The app monitors incoming SMS messages and recognises unit alerts using configured rules.

  • Filtering by phone number and message text
  • Screen wake-up and a prominent full-screen prompt
  • Optional sound, vibration, flash and persistent notification

02

Responses and history

Every alarm has its own record with a clearly stored user response.

  • Yes or No attendance confirmation
  • Response time and optional station arrival time
  • Message history available directly on the phone

03

Unit, station and contacts

The app stores the home unit name and manages the senders from which an alarm announcement is expected.

  • Custom unit name and contact email for support and diagnostics
  • Any number of saved contacts with a name and phone number
  • A selected contact can also trigger an alarm through an incoming call

04

Precise alarm recognition rules

Filters can match the way your unit sends messages. Separate multiple phrases with semicolons; matching is case-insensitive.

  • A general filter triggers by the beginning or any part of the text regardless of sender
  • A shared filter applies to saved contacts without their own rules
  • A contact-specific filter takes priority and can require a matching beginning or contained phrase
05

Incident categories

An incoming message can be classified automatically by a keyword, so the incident type is visible on the alarm screen.

  • Custom name, keyword and colour for every category
  • Ready-made default categories can be imported, edited or deleted
  • Each category can be checked with the built-in test alarm
06

Active alarm behaviour

Notifications range from a quiet record to a loud alarm that wakes the screen and can override the phone's normal silent mode when the required permissions are granted.

  • Separate controls for sound, vibration, flash, fully silent mode and use of the phone volume
  • Seven built-in sirens, a custom audio file, sound preview and configurable volume
  • A timed profile with different volume plus separate automatic silence and screen-close times
07

Station location and distance

The station can be marked on a map. The app can then show the current distance and follow progress towards the station during an alarm.

  • Manual station selection on a map and a check of the phone's current location
  • Optional distance limit: ringing is skipped outside the configured radius while other alerts remain active
  • Arrival time is stored; signalling can optionally stop after 5 seconds within 30 metres of the station
08

Quick SMS replies

Choosing Yes or No can also send a prepared SMS to a selected number, for example to a commander or dispatch system.

  • Separate reply text for attending and not attending
  • A shared destination phone number configured directly in the app
  • Sending can be enabled or disabled independently for Yes and No

Testing, permissions and diagnostics

Settings include tools for checking the setup before real use and diagnosing issues on a particular phone.

  • SMS filter test using a selected number and tests for individual categories
  • Overview of required system permissions and warnings about missing access
  • Log sync runs at startup and then hourly for up to 5 minutes; manual upload remains available at any time
10

Reliability and diagnostics

Background services, a foreground notification and a local diagnostic queue help keep processing active and make problems traceable. Android still requires the correct permissions and battery restrictions to be disabled.

11

Requirements and privacy

The current test APK supports 64-bit ARM devices running Android 9 or newer. SMS messages, responses and history are stored locally. Diagnostic logs can be sent to the developer when troubleshooting.
